The USB-8COM-RM ECO provides easy serial port expansion over USB 2.0 connecting to high speed RS232 devices. All USB-xCOM Eco converters are fully ESD and surge protected, also bus powered. The USB-8COM-RM ECO comes in a 19-inch rack-mountable metal case. Furthermore, it can operate across a large range of temperatures to cope with harsh operating conditions. Lastly, DIN-Rail and wall-mounting options are available.

Easy Serial Ports Configuration

The serial ports support 7 signals of RS232 protocol. LEDs for PWR, RDY and TxD/RxD for each port clearly show the activity status for the user. Com Port drivers are available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. "USBCOM Configuration Utility" allows easy access to special Windows driver options to optimise settings and performance.

High Speed Rates and ESD Protection

USB 2.0 High Speed connection allows serial data rates of up to 460.8kbps. Every non-standard bitrate (e.g. 31250bps for MIDI) can easily be set up. USB-xCOM ECO systems are fully ESD protected at the USB and serial port interfaces.
